Winter Waterfowl Workshop

One of the highlights of winter is the arrival of migrating waterfowl at local lakes and ponds! Learn how to identify the various types of ducks, geese, and other species of birds that visit each winter. The instructor will cover field marks, behavior, and more during a presentation at the Nature Center, followed by a field trip to Lake Benson Park to test those new identification skills. This program is for beginner birders as well as experienced birders looking to refresh their winter waterfowl knowledge.

Note:

Participants should bring their own binoculars, field guides, and scopes if they have them. The park has a limited number of binoculars available to borrow.
